Dagenham & Redbridge are capable of making the step-up to League One on and off the field, says boss John Still.Ahead of Sunday's League Two play-off final with Rotherham, Still said: "I've no doubt this club could survive a level up. We'd just do it the same way.
"Financially, if we go up it would be another massive strain, but we get by because we manage the situation.
"Every year we add something to what we do and if we sell players I try and put a little bit aside," he told BBC Essex.
Dagenham, promoted as Conference champions in 2007 have not yet played in the third tier of English football.
But, if they do get there on Sunday, at third attempt, Still insists that he would never gamble with the club's future.
You can pay your bills or you can't. If you can't pay your bills you cease to be a club, that's how I see it

In fact, the Daggers boss believes the football authorities are not doing enough to deter clubs from throwing around money they do not have.
"When clubs go into administration because of over spending it's legalised cheating as far as I'm concerned," said Still.
"That's criticising the people that allow that to happen. They deduct them 10 points and that's it. It's rubbish.
