Danny Taylor then released Kelvin Langmead and his cross was controlled by Steve Leslie, who beat Tony Roberts with an overhead kick. The Daggers saw Doe dismissed in the 70th minute for an elbow on Terry Dunfield and, despite a late fightback, Shrews held firm to claim the points.
"It was just two players who came together and one was caught," bemoaned Harris. "I couldn't see anything wrong. It was a strange decision."
He added: "We stopped doing the things we preached to them all week and gave away two soft goals. It was probably the right result in the end though."
Harris was in charge of the side for a second week as manager John Still recovered from kidney stones. Still was at home for the weekend but will return to hospital next week.
