Dagenham manager John Still has not toned down the search for non-league talent since his side's promotion to League One. Still has built the club on the foundations of recruiting players from non league and then selling them on - with Paul Benson's six-figure switch to Charlton the latest in a long line of transfers. Still told the Football League podcast: "We've carried on scouring the non-league levels for players as we always have. "But maybe now we have to look a level higher than before. "The difference is we have found players who we would have taken last season but they are probably not good enough for League One. "But if they are young enough then we will still look to sign them and put them on the back burner for a year or two to see how they go."
