Dagenham and Redbridge midfielder Danny Spiller is using the video sharing website YouTube to help save his professional career. The former Gillingham player, 28, knows he will be released by the Daggers in May and hopes his career highlights video will get him a move overseas.

"It's good to recap what you're all about as a player, especially for clubs abroad," Spiller told BBC Radio Kent.

"You can usually spot a good player when you see one on TV."

Spiller added: "I think if you take a few clips of a few games it doesn't hurt to put yourself about a little bit. They can click on the link and have a little look at you."

Spiller was a product of Gillingham's youth system and spent eight years at the club before joining Millwall in 2007, where he played just eight times.

He had brief spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Welling United before moving to Dagenham last September.
