Dagenham manager John Still remained defiant in defeat and insisted his players would keep on fighting to preserve their League One status after a 4-0 defeat at Southampton. Two goals from Saints teenager Alex Chamberlain and further efforts from Lee Barnard and Jose Fonte condemned the Daggers to a sixth away defeat in the league that keeps them second bottom. Still said: "We live in the real world, we were never going to come here to try and outplay Southampton, but we were always trying to compete. "Confidence and morale will never be a problem for us, we have come from the Conference and come into this league. "We have taken some knocks and digs on the way and we will have to battle like hell to stay in this division. But we are Dagenham and will somehow find a way."
