The Daggers had their chances but Argyle's Rory Patterson netted the only goal of the game three minutes after half-time, before he was sent off in injury time.
"It was a big game, but we play big games here all the time," said Still. "It was a very important game and we've got three more games to try to scratch these points together.
"I thought the first half was a real non-event, there were two nervous teams. I don't think we ever really got going in the first half, they got going a little bit more than us.
"We're disappointed with the goal, we had four in the wall from a free-kick, Abu Ogogo has not done his job, he should have been in the wall and they scored from that.
"We pushed on and pushed them back. We had scrambles, the two best chances of the game fell to John Akinde, if they go in it can be different, but it wasn't and we look to Huddersfield."
