Vincelot told BBC Essex: "This was the win that we've been waiting for for three or four games.

"We deserved it in the other games and now we have it. It's good for the confidence and we have to keep going."

And Vincelot is confident that the Daggers have sufficient firepower to challenge this term.

"There is a lot of quality in the team and that's why I think we will score a lot of goals," he said.

The Frenchman initially joined the Essex club as a defender, but his versatility has proved to be a valuable asset for Still.

He added: "I don't think I have the qualities to play centre forward.

"I like to go forward but I like to defend as well so midfield may be the good position to be."
