Play-off chasers Dagenham & Redbridge are still looking for their first away win of 2009, but at least they survived a last-minute penalty miss by Andy Proctor to secure what could prove to be a valuable point at struggling Accrington.

Basement battlers Stanley probably had the better of proceedings as they went in search of their first win in five games.

They do have breathing space at the foot of the table, but only because teams below them have had to deal with points deductions.

And they will certainly be frustrated that star midfielder Proctor could not capitalise on a Magnus Okunoghae handball with the time ticking away.

Former QPR keeper Tony Roberts, making his 400th appearance for the Daggers, made himself the hero with an impressive save which keeps his side in the chasing pack for a place in the top seven.

John Paul Kissock was thwarted by record breaking Roberts as early as the fourth minute, while veteran striker Paul Mullin walloped a 30-yard screamer against the bar.

The visitors had some good attacking pressure early in the second half, although Stanley were still looking more likely.

Sub Sean McConville forced Roberts into action with a shot two minutes from time, but the keeper was just warming up for what proved to be a far more important intervention soon after.

There was even time for Roberts to thwart Proctor again in added time.
