Bingham secures Daggers survival

Billy Bingham's stunning first-half goal secured npower League Two survival for Dagenham and dented Crawley's automatic promotion push following a 1-1 draw at Victoria Road.

Daggers started brightly and Michael Spillane headed over at the near post after losing his marker from Damien McCrory's free-kick. But Crawley took the lead after 18 minutes when Charlie Wassmer turned in Scott Davies' low cross from close range.

Just before the break, Davies again found a Crawley shirt with a right-wing cross, but Gary Alexander scuffed his volley wide.
