Playing their first home game since their 9-0 defeat at the hands of Hereford, the Daggers welcomed fourth from bottom Tamworth in a bid to restore some home pride.

Obviously all the action had been used up two weeks before as for the first 20 minutes the reporters' notebooks stayed empty.

The first noteworthy effort came from Norman Sylla as he went one on one with Tony Roberts and forced a superb fingertip save from the Daggers keeper.

The play swung to the other end where Leon Braithwaite made Ryan Price get down quickly to save his low drive.

Chris Piper should have done better when minutes later his header missed the target from five yards out.

Chris Moore also failed to break the deadlock just before half-time when his effort was saved by Price.

There was still minimal action as the second half began with Danny Shipp being the first to go close ten minutes in with a dipping shot from 20 yards which Price did well to hold.

The visitors finally registered their first effort of the half when Paul Barnes' bullet header flew over the bar.

Dave Robinson then came to Tamworth's rescue when he cleared Braithwaite's header off the line to keep the game deadlocked.

If any Daggers fans were expecting a goal fest again they were to be mistaken as the game petered out into a dire 0-0 draw.
