Dagenham & Redbridge's 100 per cent winning run was ended as they endured a frustrating afternoon at Victoria Road where they were held by Telford United.
The home side dominated possession but found chances hard to come by, in contrast Telford converted one of just a handful of shots to deny Daggers their fourth consecutive win.
Daggers played some neat and on occasions incisive football but only had Danny Shipp's long range effort to show for their early efforts.
Telford's first shot looked more capable of breaking the deadlock. It arrived after 32 minutes when Peter Smith took his time on the edge of the box but blasted a wayward shot wide of the goal.
But then came a moment of precision from Daggers midfielder and man of the match Hill as Kevin Davies only partially cleared Paul Bruce's left-wing cross and Hill hit a vicious right-footed shot into the corner of the net from around 25 yards.
Home keeper Tony Roberts had to go off after colliding with the woodwork as Mark Foran equalised on the stroke of half time and Telford were urged to shoot at the new keeper Paul Gothard.
For the last half an hour the hosts laid siege to the Telford goal. Bruce's cross from the left were a constant threat but without right winger Mark Janney they lacked similar penetration on the right.
Their best chances fell firstly to Steve West who awkwardly volleyed over from close range and Mark Stein had a left-footed shot blocked by Matthew Bloomer when a goal looked likely.
