This was never going to be the most skilful of games as gale force winds wreaked havoc around Victoria Road.

With both teams seasons more or less over as the Daggers languish in 12th place, while Woking sat two places above them, it gave the game even more reason to be a non-event.

Woking were the first to have a strike on target as Stuart Noble hit low and hard, but Tony Roberts got down well to hold his effort.

It was some 15 minutes later when the next goalmouth action occurred as Noble skipped into the area once again but fluffed his effort wide.

The second half started just as blustery and just as boring. The main highlight coming from a clattering challenge from Tim Cole with Luke Cornwall which earned him a booking.

Danny Shipp then tested keeper Ashley Bayes with a long-range effort from 25 yards, but not even the wind could help his swerving shot.

Jimmy Jackson then went one better by causing Bayes to get down well to hold his strike.

You always knew that if the deadlock was going to be broken it would be done in the scruffiest of fashions.

And so it was when the ball was pinballed around the box and Cole's header was cleared off the line and thrown back into the fray for Shipp to head home at the near post.

Although the game then woke up, the referee's whistle put a stop to the action to give the Daggers all three points yet in terms of their season's ambitions it is too little too late.
