In the history of Conference matches between Dagenham & Redbridge and Woking you always have a number of goals and in the first seven minutes it was the visitors who took a two-goal lead.

The first goal for Woking arrived on four minutes. Justin Richards with an overhead kick, ten yards out from a Craig McAllister header.

The home crowd was left shell-shocked three minutes later when Liam Cockerill, the Cards manager's son doubled their lead. A long punt from defence by Neil Smith found McAllister and there was Cockerill to score from close range.

The early goal feast continued when the Daggers pulled a goal back.

A free-kick 25 yards out taken by Paul Bruce curled into the top corner of the net giving Shwan Jalal no chance in the Woking goal.

Before the break it was new signing, on loan from Heybridge Swifts, Cliff Akurang who had a fine chance to score. Glen Southam's half volley fell kindly for Akurang but his header went straight into Jalal's arms.

The second period was an entertaining one as the home side pressured the Woking goal but the Cards defence held strong.

A loose ball off Scott Griffiths dropped into the path of Steve Ferguson and his half volley went just wide of the left-hand post. The Cards went close minutes later when a Paul Watson free-kick was met by Luke Oliver and his header was saved by Tony Roberts.

The Daggers continued to try to find the equaliser when they were awarded a free-kick on 70 minutes. Taken by Danny Foster, his pass to Southam opened up the midfield.

Southam laid the ball on for Bruce and he fired a 20-yard low drive, which Jalal gathered.

Woking made the game safe when Craig McAllister scored at the far post from Cockerill's floating cross.

One last effort at the end from Griffiths sailed over the bar and the three points went back to Woking.
