Exeter 2-1 Dag Red- Report

Richard Logan climbed off the bench to grab a late winner as Exeter came from a goal down to see off Dagenham 2-1 at St James Park.

City had the better of the first half with Ryan Harley heading a great chance over the bar for the home side, although Billy Jones was forced to clear off the goalline from Danny Green's in-swinging corner.

After the break Jon Nurse should have put Dagenham in front but his header was saved by Ben Hamer, while Bas Savage failed to convert from close range after Hamer had spilled a shot.

Substitute John Akinde then broke through the Exeter defence but chipped wastefully wide with only Hamer to beat.

The deadlock was finally broken 14 minutes from time when Green's corner was headed on and Romain Vincelot scored from close range.

However, the lead lasted just five minutes before Matt Taylor nodded in David Noble's free-kick, and with three minutes remaining Logan headed in at the far post from Daniel Nardiello's cross.
