A last minute goal gave Farnborough Town a much needed point as they drew 2-2 with Dagenham & Redbridge.

The Daggers started as they meant to go on with a corner in the first minute, Chris Moore and Tim Cole both with headers on goal before Mark Osborn collected.

Richard Hodgson was then just off target for the home side before the Daggers took the lead.

A miscued cross from Leon Braithwaite curled its way into the bottom right corner passed a stranded Osborne after 11 minutes.

Just a minute later Boro skipper Nick Burton had a chance to level but headed just wide from a Hodgson corner.

Then after 25 minutes the visitors doubled their lead with a fine goal from Moore, the striker went on a solo run from midfield beating three defenders to make an excellent strike.

A long-range effort from Jimmy Jackson almost made it three but Mark Osborn saved to take Boro into the break trailing by two goals.

Farnborough started the second half much brighter although Paul Bruce came close to netting a third.

A Boro free-kick by Howard Forinton hit the wall but was then well crossed in by Matt Pattison, but keeper Tony Roberts collected easily.

Then on 77 minutes came Boro's reward as sub Andre Fashanu did well to round the keeper and hold off the challenge from a defender to strike home for 2-1.

This seemed to inject some life into Boro as they continued to search for the equaliser.

But they were made to wait until the last minute of injury time when all 11 Boro players entered the box for Hodgson's corner.

To the visitors' dismay Roberts fumbled the ball across his own line giving Boro a well deserved point.
