Dagenham and Redbridge fell to their fifth straight Conference defeat at the hands of Gravesend and Northfleet at Stonebridge Road.

The Fleet took the lead in the 27th minute when Lee Protheroe fired a deep diagonal cross to Roy Essandoh at the far post and the big striker nodded down for Steve McKimm to force the ball over the line past former Northfleet keeper Alex O'Reilly.

The Daggers responded well to going a goal behind with Fleet keeper Paul Wilkerson forced to block well with his feet to stop Chris Moore and then denying Jake Leberl with a terrific save after the ball had rebounded from the inside of the post following a Lee Flynn corner.

The Fleet went two goals in front after 49 minutes O'Reilly tried to clear the ball only to hit defender Anwar Uddin, and as the ball flew around the penalty area Manny Omoyinmi blasted into the net for his fourth goal of the season.

Flynn rattled the cross bar as Dagenham rallied and the visitors pulled themselves back into the game when Moore scored from a corner in the 66th minute.

Sidibe could have increased the Fleet's lead in the 87th minute when he shot wide following a brilliant run by Omoyinmi which took him past three defenders and into the box.
