Two goals in the first four minutes were enough to give Dagenham & Redbridge their fifth straight Nationwide Conference victory.

Garry Hill's men controlled the game throughout and always looked to have that extra bit of class as they secured another three points on their push for the play-offs.

Dagenham got off to the perfect start and took the lead after just 25 seconds when Paul Terry played a defence splitting through ball which found Danny Shipp who rifled the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

And just three minutes later, the visitors had doubled their lead when a pin-point cross from John McGrath was tapped home from six yards by Junior McDougald.

After getting off to the worst possible start, Telford needed an immediate response and got it when Mark Foran powerfully headed home from a corner from Kevin Davies on six minutes.

Dagenham enjoyed plenty of space in the remainder of the first half and McDougald forced an excellent save from Edwards and Shipp somehow managed to blast wide with the goal at his mercy.

Dagenham looked set to extend their lead a minute before the break when McDougald's goalbound shot was deflected by Stein, but the ball ricocheted to safety off the post.

Telford enjoyed more possession in the second-half and Dave Cameron could have done better when he got on the end of a Martin Barlow cross but the ball went straight at Tony Roberts.

A Gareth Hanmer free-kick forced another save from Roberts but Dagenham controlled the last few minutes and Terry and Watts both wasted excellent opportunities to double their lead.

But it did not matter as the visitors held on to clinch three deserved points.
