Wood carves out Chairboys win
Sam Wood made it three games unbeaten for Wycombe by scoring the only goal of the game to see off Dagenham & Redbridge.
Wood found the back of the net just after the half-hour mark as the Chairboys put some more daylight between themselves and the League Two drop zone.
Dagenham's Sam Williams volleyed wide from just outside the area after 15 minutes.
On the half-hour mark Jo Kuffour teed up the on-rushing Stuart Lewis but Daggers goalkeeper Chris Lewington was equal to the midfielder's tame effort.
Soon afterwards Wood opened the scoring after coming off his wing to fire a low shot into the bottom corner.
Shortly after the break the Chairboys failed to deal with Matt Saunders' corner and Scott Doe forced Jordan Archer into a reflex save.
In the 53rd minute Wood turned on the edge of the Dagenham area and brought a good save from Lewington.
Lewis had two more chances to double Wycombe's lead before Williams came close to equalising with 10 minutes to play, but he was foiled by a Dave Winfield tackle.
